If you are working at height, you need to be ensure that the equipment you’re using is safe to use and complies with all legislative requirements. Once equipment has been installed it must be maintained and examined at least once a year as outlined in legislation and standards such as BS 7883 and BS EN 365 in order to ensure it is safe to use.
Inspection, Testing and Certification
The IKG Group Fall Protection Services inspection service, qualified engineers will not only assess height safety equipment such as life line systems, anchor points and guardrails. Once completed, we will provide you with a certificate of compliance or, if appropriate, a schedule of remedial work which is required in order for the system to become compliant.
In addition to the inspection, testing and recertification service, our engineer will also advise on any fall from height concerns around the site and, if required, carry out individual training on equipment provided. This will help to ensure that everyone using the safety equipment is trained on the correct usage as well as how to check equipment such as PPE for any sign of fault before using it.

Installation
After our site survey or on receipt of site drawings/photographs, our technical team will prepare an economic solution for each scenario. The feasible solution will include any applicable wind calculations and take into account the structural design of the building and the likely loads applied by the solution and those using the system.
IKG Group Fall Protection Services Contracts Department will then organise the complete installation for the fall protection solution including delivery, access, IKG Group Fall Protection Services operatives and any additional works that may be required.
Installations may require routine inspection and certification depending upon the environment and usage. IKG Group Fall Protection Services Inspection and Recertification Department will contact you once an installation has been completed to arrange a schedule and costs for annual inspection, recertification and training for all those using the systems.
